For Lawyers

We are aware that many in the legal community recognize the need for services to those who can’t afford to pay, and would like to do something.  The reality is that for most attorneys, providing representation to groups like the elderly homeless is simply not feasible on a practical level.  Private practice is a business, not structured for charitable work, and even finding a client from a vulnerable group to represent pro bono presents time consuming and logistical challenges that approach insurmountable.  The Caritas Project is a law firm structured and dedicated to this work.  We have developed screening mechanisms and procedures that enable us to reach directly those most in need, and have developed partnerships with homeless advocacy organizations to access resources for our clients.
